Jazba informed us about CGI sheet distribution in the area by UNDP. UNDP solved many people's problems in the area. This programme should not end. If I owned a vehicle, I would donate it to the Jazba team so it could carry out its regular work. I appeal to donors and NGOs to assist Jazba-e-Tameer in the future.

Yes. Now the reconstruction phase is started. This is big disaster and in this phase we need Jazba-e-Tameer.

Jazba helped end confusion about seismic reports in red zone areas. The programme helped end many rumours about possible mass evacuation and broadcast many informative interviews about the red zone. Now people have enough information and have started rebuilding their damaged houses.

Jazba is playing an effective role in disseminating important information. Its report about the forced evacuation of tenants, that included an interview with the DCO, led to the regulation that no one can be forcefully relocated. After the Jazba report, land owners stopped pressuring people to leave their land.

Yes. The whole programme is excellent. Could be more focus on government departments and broadcast the programme three times a week.

People in Shinkiari

were affected by the quake, and they received compensation cheques from ERRA.

People were only able to cash cheques if they had bank accounts. So people travelled from hilly areas to Mansehra to open bank accounts. Jazba reported on the lack of bank facilities in Shinkiari. After the broadcast, the national bank opened more facilities for people to cash compensation cheques.

Yes. Jazba could focus more on local government and invite the nazims into the studio to openly talk to the people.

The children's programmes on Jazba-e-Tameer are very interesting. Our children were afraid about the possibility of more earthquakes, but when they listened to these programmes, they were motivated to start reading and go back to school.

We live in a remote area, and due to the lack of televisions and newspapers, we got all our information from Jazba. The programme played a vital role in people's rehabilitation and helping them recover from trauma.

We had not received any relief. After Jazba reported on the situation in our area, several relief organizations visited our area and began distributing relief goods.

 

Yes. Government officials should be invited for live discussions, and the length of the programme should be increased.
