Distribution of medicine in affected areas from Mansehra

Conflict between landowners and tenants about registration forms for receipt of cheques, Battagram

-The govt. needs to solve the problem.

- Tenants believe they are entitled to the cheques, but the wording of the ERRA registration forms mean the landlords are reluctant to sign.

- District Nazim says the problem will be solved in a provincial government meeting. He says some people are taking advantage of the situation.

UNDP workshop on waste management in affected areas (held in Mansehra)

- Members of the Sikh community lost their homes and businesses in the earthquake. They are grateful for the cooperation of the NGOs and the majority Muslim community.

- Some requesting more to rebuild their homes and businesses, so they are not forced to leave their homeland.

- Some would like their houses to be rebuilt in Hasanabdal, a larger Sikh community, where they feel their interests fulfilled.
