| Since the 8th October 2005 earthquake, Internews has provided equipment grants to seven emergency FM stations in the disaster zone. Pakistan 's Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has granted another six licenses to radio stations in NWFP and AJK. Internews aims to help these new stations come on air and report on the humanitarian situation and broader issues in the region. Internews has also conducted over 10 sessions in humanitarian reporting for more than 50 local journalists in the disaster zone. |
